Who’s at Loss

Looking at the events of past

I should have been aghast

How I had almost lost

All to the time’s ghost

Standing where I do today

I see happiness all my way

Was it for this destiny played
Was it for that it made me sad

If it were for this day
That I faced the heat of May
I am ready to see life’s sway
And would never say nay

If it were for the day
She came my way
To say no to me with a knife
And walk away from my life

If this were to come out
Of the bitter fallout
I am really thankful for the loss
I am really graced with life’s toss
