More Testing would NOT mean better Cure. More Testing would not mean that you are chasing the #ChineseVirus. More Testing would mean more expenditure on something which can be rather targeted than mass.
Next point, lockdown did provide only the time for govt to ramp up hospital infrastructure and facilities, it actually curbed the speed of virus by a huge margin. Just compare India and USA.
Lockdown also helped ensure that the virus stays in certain pockets! Hotspots and doesn’t spread beyond those (it happenwd otherwise in Maharashtra specifically). The only thing that changed the counts rapidly was the #SingleSource event and their coordinated act.
What is now needed is pool to individual testing for your knowledge and Govt is already contemplating on that.
